Golden was 10 of 14 from the sphere for the Spiders (Four-13, 2-Three Atlantic 10) and led all 5 starters in double-figure scoring. Jacob Gilyard added 19 factors and 5 assists, De’Monte Buckingham had 14 factors and eight rebounds, Khwan Fore had 11 factors and 4 rebounds and Nick Sherod had 10 factors and 7 rebounds.
The Spiders trailed 25-17 late within the first half when Golden led a 17-7 surge, scoring 11 factors himself, to thrust his group right into a 34-32 lead on the break.
