The primary ever child panda born in France has melted the hearts of onlookers in his first public look at a zoo south of Paris.
Yuan Meng, whose identify means “the realisation of a want” or “accomplishment of a dream”, was named in a ceremony in December.
His naming ceremony was an essential diplomatic second involving high-profile French and Chinese language dignitaries.
The French first woman, Brigitte Macron, was named the panda’s ‘godmother’ on the Beauval zoo in Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher.
Yuan Meng’s mother and father are on mortgage to Beauval zoo from China, and he will likely be despatched to a Chinese language panda reserve when he’s weaned in two or three years.
Now aged simply 4 months, he surprised guests to Beauval along with his cute antics in his first public look on Saturday.
He spends most of his day climbing on prime of his mom.
Sadly, Yuan Meng’s twin died after delivery.
